About Makayla

I believe students should enjoy challenging concepts, learning new material, and feel confident in their educational journey. What my values entail is building confidence, and rapport of critical thinking and problem solving skills. By observing and listening to how a student engages with their work, I can help facilitate a different approach to working through difficult concepts and lend resources that I find helpful. There are many learning styles and each student has their own unique way of learning, my methodology consists of figuring out by that out first, and building off of that learning style. As an undergraduate college student, I look forward to working specifically with elementary, middle, and high school students. My preferred coursework resides most in science, English, and some math (preferably up to pre-calculus).
