HI! My name is Makenzie and I am currently a Child Development and Family Studies major at CSULB. I am 22 years old, have worked with a family on and off for over 5 years and have also been working with a blended family of 10 (yes! There are 8 kids!) for just over a year. I began working as a tutor for them during Covid and helped a Kindergartner, 2nd and 5th grader pass and move on to the next grade even with the difficult online styles. 2 out of the 3 have a learning disability and all had different ways they retained information, this allowed for me to try new things and multitask. I've had experience with preschool, elementary, middle school and high school and have a basics understanding of K-5 Common Core. I have also worked with special needs children including nonverbal kids. I have my own car and am willing to travel or work VIA zoom/FaceTime. Early elementary is my strong suite but I am always willing to try other ages and grades.

I kind of wish that I could publicly post my phone number here so that you could call me and I could personally answer any questions you might have. I could write a literal novel about my experience with hiring a nanny for the first time, having someone new in my home, and letting go of control to allow her to tackle the things we desperately needed help with. But I'll spare you. In our house, Makenzie is simply Kenzie. She tackles the chaos. She smiles in situations that make me want to rip my hair out. She is reliable, responsible, and I trust her with the most important people in my life. Kenzie is part of our family, and I very truly believe that anyone who hires her is a lucky person! She can handle anything you throw at her. She will make your household run more efficiently, and I probably can't make claims like this, but I am certain she can raise any child's reading level. One million stars for Kenzie.
