Hello! My name is Rachel. I began babysitting for children aged 7-10 while in high school, and continued to work with kids over the summers throughout high school and college, leading service trips at a local church for both middle and high school students, as well as working as a camp counselor for several years at a day camp for 1st-7th graders. In this role, I planned and led indoor and outdoor activities, games, field trips, and lessons for the children. I also completed CPR and first aid certifications for these work experiences. When I first started my PhD a few years ago, I worked as a nanny on weekday mornings (responsibilities included helping the girls get ready for school, preparing breakfast and packing their lunches, dropping them off at school each day, and occasional housekeeping as needed). I held this job from Jan 2018 through May 2019, when my schedule no longer allowed for the time commitment.
