About Maleah

During my three years as a Patient Care Technician at IU Health, I gained extensive hands-on experience providing compassionate and skilled care to both elderly patients and those recovering from surgery. My responsibilities included assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, mobility, and feeding, while maintaining their dignity and comfort at all times. I frequently monitored vital signs, observed changes in patient conditions, and communicated important updates to the nursing staff to ensure timely and effective care. With elderly patients, I developed strong patience and empathy, supporting not only their physical needs but also offering companionship and reassurance. For surgical patients, I focused on post-operative care, helping with ambulation, pain management support, and wound care assistance. This role strengthened my clinical skills, teamwork, and ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.
