About Maneeta

I am a full- spectrum doula and infant/ toddler caregiver, with seven years previous work experience as a certified preschool teacher in Berkeley, CA. As an artistic and deeply empathetic person, I have always naturally gravitated towards children, somehow intuitively knowing to connect with them through their lens of playful interaction with the world. This, coupled with my love for science, drew me to Infant and Child development, and I began working as an Early Childhood Educator after undergrad. The Montessori informed program I remained at for seven years brought me close to an incredible community of families, their children, and their birthing journeys. This organically fostered my interest in becoming a birth doula, and I am grateful to have found my way into such profound work. Since returning to NYC in 2022, I have been working with families and clients as a full-spectrum doula and caregiver (which includes birth, postpartum, grief, and everything in-between).

We brought Maneeta on during my postpartum period and I told her from day one: the job was to take on the mental load — and she did, beautifully. She proactively improved systems that weren’t working (like setting up a shared family calendar), supported my recovery with things like lactation-friendly recipes, and lovingly cared for our baby while keeping our 3-year-old engaged and happy. Our daughter still talks about her all the time! Maneeta brought calm, warmth, and structure when we needed it most. We’re so grateful for her.
