About Margaret

I am a student at Merrimack College majoring in Elementary Education. I worked with children, ages 2 to 11, teaching gymnastics and life-guarding for 3 years in high school. I also have babysat for multiple families ranging from ages of 3 months to 12 years and have two younger siblings, ages 6 and 7, who I have cared for since they were young. I have always loved taking care of children and find it amazing on how people underestimate the intelligence of a child. I am currently taking a class on child and adolescent development and find it interesting how the theories we have talked about in class can be seen everyday. I believe that knowing how a child develops helps me with being able to understand why they may be frustrated with a task or problem and can better help resolve the problem. I am looking for a summer (2014) nanny/babysitting position. I am available everyday in the summer and have my own car. I would love to take the kids to the beach and do other fun summer activities.
