For over 10 years, I've been dedicated to nurturing children's development. My passion stems from witnessing their growth firsthand and creating a positive impact on their lives. I received my Associates degree from Kingsborough Community College and I'm one semester away from completing my bachelor's degree. I also have First Aid Training, and Early Childhood Education (ECE) experience. I'm experienced with special needs children as well, I currently work as a paraprofessional for the DOE (4 years) and ABA therapist. My approach is friendly and imaginative, and I enjoy engaging kids with outdoor games, board games, and educational activities. I can comfortably care for two children aged 1-11. I follow parents' lead on household rules and communicate through their preferred method, whether verbally or via text. I also love incorporating crafts into playtime. I am comfortable with pets. Knowing I can make a difference in a child's day brings me immense joy.

I hired Mariah to help with my two boys (7, 2 y/o) on Saturday afternoons. She's worked with us for 10 months and it's been a pleasure and relief to have her consistent help on weekends. Mariah is a warm and responsible babysitter who is very safety-minded, she engages both boys in conversation, arts and crafts projects and games. She is incredibly patient, calm and consistent and doesn't get frazzled one bit even when both boys are wild with extra bursts of energy and/or loud with frustration. She's a great role model for them and she meets the boys on their level of play and conversation. She also helps with preparing meals, transportation, and bathing. She still works with us and hope that continues for a long time!
