About Maria

I am a dedicated nursing student at Miami Dade College with a strong academic background in math, science, and health-related fields. I have over four years of tutoring experience in math and other subjects, helping classmates and younger students improve their understanding and academic performance. I also bring teaching experience outside of traditional tutoring; I worked as a kindergarten teacher, where I developed patience, creativity, and strategies to engage young learners. In addition, I taught karate for several years, after practicing for more than 11 years and achieving a black belt. This experience not only gave me leadership and mentoring skills but also instilled discipline and confidence that I pass on to my students. I am bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to support a wide range of learners. My goal as a tutor is to make learning approachable, motivating, and tailored to each student's needs.
