To Whom it may Concern, I am writing to recommend Maibel, who cared for my mother, a mid-stage dementia patient, for nearly six months. The care for people with dementia requires deep patience and intuition, and Maribel exceeded all expectations. She treated my mom with respect and was a friend to her. She met confusion or agitation with compassion. She brought memory aids to keep my mom’s hands busy and brain active. She encouraged her every day. Maribel took her to activities and kept her on a good routine. When my mom (due to her dementia) thought my dad, who was in the hospital, was marrying someone else, Maribel came to the hospital to take pictures of him and a video with signs saying how much he loves my mom. She always had her best interest in mind along with the family’s best interests. She gave my mom her last dance and shared that video along with other precious videos/pictures with us. Maribel is dependable, respectful, and was a wonderful companion to my mother. Any family would be fortunate to have her caring for their loved one.
