Severe diabetic, meals prep accordingly, congestive heart failure, amputee , bed positioning , slide board to assist from on and off the wheelchair, beginning stages of alziemer, charting , medication management and light housekeeping. Being passionate about helping adults maintain their independence and well-being is a priority. My approach is patient, compassionate, and professional. I adapt to changing routines. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I communicate with families daily according to their preferences. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. Marilou is an exceptional caregiver all around! She’s a true gift to anyone who hires her. She’s such a hard worker, and is quick to see what needs to be done, whether household maintenance, laundry, needed groceries, and everything that goes with caregiving. She’s the most well rounded in personality , always cheerful, never complaining and takes the unexpected with ease. She’s on time and does what she’s asked to do, always. She’s never a “no show”. If she needs some time off, she’ll ask ahead of time in order for you to get coverage. The only reason she won’t be with us any longer is because her two clients are moving to a board and care. She’s adept at insulin dependent diabetics and their dietary needs, as well as ESRD on dialysis and their dietary needs. She also is phenomenal with the care and support of an amputee, including assisting with transfers, slide boards, bed baths and showers. She’s a true gem and anyone will find her a gift to their home.
