About Marilyn

Marilyn, whom our children affectionately call Mimi, is a loving, joyful, and experienced caregiver who we were fortunate to have as a nanny for our two children. We worked with Marilyn consistently for 8 years, sometimes in partnership with other families (infant nanny share, toddler nanny share). She has significant experience caring for infants, toddlers, and elementary-aged kids. Marilyn was very loving to our children, patient, and safety conscious. Marilyn was flexible and open to implementing our preferences for our children’s schedules (nap, meals, etc.). Caring for multiple infants and/or toddlers is not easy but Marilyn was extremely patient with the children and found joy in all aspects of caregiving, even the challenging moments! As our children grew and our family’s needs changed, Marilyn was responsible for school pick-ups and taking the children to multiple extracurriculars in our neighborhood (dance, music, etc.). She would also take the children to local parks to meet up with friends and other caregivers. She was the recipient of unprompted positive recognition from other parents and friends who got to know her at school pick-ups, local parks, etc. As our children started attending part-time and then full-time school, Marilyn helped with light housework (laundry, dishes, general tidying) when she was not caring for our children in order to achieve full-time employment. Our time working with Marilyn ended when both of our children were enrolled in full-time school, which was bittersweet for all. However, we continue to see Marilyn for babysitting, which is a treat for all of us. We highly recommend Marilyn for your childcare needs!
