About Marina

I cared for my parents prior to them passing away. My father had alzheimer's and my mother began to fall a lot in the home. In addition, my sister had a severe head injury in 1989 and was in a coma for two weeks. She had a colostomy bag, a trachea and a stomach tube. She also maintained some brain damage which resulted in her not being able to walk on her own. I have a deep respect for senior citizens. Most older people have worked all their lives and have asked for only what they have worked for in return. They do not ask for favors or hand-outs. In my opinion the people in the medical field talk down to older people, and a lot of their physical problems are dismissed or even ignored by the staff and doctors. I experienced this when both of my parents were hospitalized. In my opinion (again) our senior citizens deserve the most respect and are given the least. That is why I want to work with them.
