About Marisa

I'm a caring, energetic, and compassionate person who loves working with kids. Their energy, curiosity, and uniqueness make every day fun and rewarding. I've been working with children since I was 13 and have experience with all ages. For the past four summers, I've been a sleepaway camp counselor for kids aged 9-14, which deepened my passion for helping kids grow, learn, and feel supported. I'm looking for a job where I can build strong, trusting relationships with both kids and their families, and make a meaningful impact in their daily lives. I always prioritize creating a safe, fun, and positive environment. I'm CPR and lifeguard certified, dependable, creative, and I love planning activities for the kids to do. I also have strong leadership skills and know how to make each child feel seen and valued. In my free time, I enjoy being active, going on walks, and spending time with friends as well as my sorority sisters, which is Kappa Alpha Theta at KU!
