About Maryam

Hi! My name is Maryam and I am starting graduate school this fall for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I graduated from UCLA in June 2019 with a degree in Psychology, and I have been working at the UCLA Child & Adolescent Psychiatry department for over two years. At this position, I work intensively with children and adolescents with developmental disorders and with various mental health conditions. I have over six years of professional experience working with children, and I plan on working as a child psychologist after completing my graduate studies. Regarding my experience with children, I have cared for children from various families as a babysitter and nanny. My duties involved driving children to various activities around the city, tutoring, cooking meals for the whole family, sleep training infants, and much more. I also worked as a teacher at a family therapist's office for two years, where I worked with infants and young children and lead group sessions.
