About Mary Claire

Hi! I'm Mary, a recent graduate from Colorado State University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in English, my teaching licensure, and graduated cum laude. I'm passionate about helping students gain confidence and skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I earned a five on the AP Language and Composition exam, scored a 32 on the ACT, and have years of tutoring experience in both classroom and one-on-one settings. As a student teacher, I taught more than one hundred 25 students in ninth and tenth grade English, and I've also worked as a teacher's aide with students ages 10 through 17. I'm especially strong at helping with essay writing, grammar, and reading comprehension, and I tailor my support to each student's learning style. I also studied creative writing and love encouraging students to find their voice. I'm patient, enthusiastic, and invested in helping learners grow. I'd love to support your student's success!
