2 years of experience providing thoughtful care in dementia nursing center: Provided care through showers, toileting, feeding, and other care needs dependent on the resident's level of independence. Encouraged residents to engage in activities throughout the day including movies, games, and other forms of entertainment to promote brain activity. Learned the unique needs and experiences of memory care residents, expanding my realm of care skills and instilling a passion for memory care. Maintained clean resident rooms and shared spaces by conducting sheet changes, folding laundry, delivering resident laundry, and generally tidying up to keep the environment safe, healthy, and welcoming. Provided company for residents through reading aloud to them, coloring, completing crosswords, and more to reiterate the presence of a friend in the facility.
