After caring for my mother who had cancer 4 times (and survived!) I became passionate about being a professional caregiver. I got my CNA and have been specializing in Dementia care. My father is stricken with Alzheimer's so I'm very familiar with the heartbreaking disease. Patience, a smile and a cheerful disposition, I have found, goes a long way when dealing with our loved ones who are suffering from dementia.
