Hello! Just wanted to share my experience. I originally started as a caregiver for my mother who battled dementia. It was tough to see her suffer, but I brightened her days with getting her out of the house, dancing with her, and feeding her delicious meals! I learned that I was very patient and clever in my caregiving. Unfortunately, I had to tell her many little lies just to help her have a good day. One example of a little lie was giving her non alcoholic wine for happy hour. After her loss, I decided that I wanted to help other families caring for their loved ones. I currently care for one gentleman with Parkinson's disease and a lovely lady suffering with osteoarthritis. Both I help to bath, make breakfast for, change bedding and have great conversations. These are part time jobs that I have and have time in my day during the week to help others.
