About Mary Ellen

Hi! I'm Mary Ellen, but my nieces call me Aunt Melon - yep, like the fruit! I'm based out of Davis, and am currently back in school pursuing a health field degree. For the last 6 years I've worked as a program manager at a youth nonprofit, helping create opportunities for kids to thrive. Growing up in a Waldorf school, I've always appreciated a hands-on, nature-infused approach to childhood, which I try to bring to everything I do! I love working with kids - whether through event planning, summer camp management, or coaching rock climbing. Watching kids discover what excites them is one of my greatest joys. I'm also an aunt to two nieces (ages 2 and 4) who live across the country, and I cherish every moment with them. I'm looking for occasional gigs like date night babysitting or short-term childcare, where I can bring my playful, patient energy. I'm experienced with kids of all ages and love finding fun, creative ways to keep them engaged. Let's connect - I'd love to help out!
