About Mary

So much to say about Mary! I found her on Care.com to care for my Alz mother in Irving. Mary has cared for mom everyday for almost 8 years. We never worry about mom when she’s in Mary’s care. She treated our mom like she was her own. In fact, she cared for her own mother with dementia, so she fully understands the stages and all the things that come with it. My mom came to trust Mary as a sister and she told Mary that all the time. Mary made sure mom’s needs were cared for and she wanted to do more, but unfortunately my mother was a difficult one at times. But that never rattled Mary. Even when mom was mean to her, she knew it was the disease and let it roll off. She took her to doctors appointments, dentist appointments, made sure she took her meds, took her to get her nails done, and took her out everyday because mom needed that change. During the snowstorm, Mary went and picked up mom and took her to her house so that she could as cared for. We will never be able to repay her for how she cared for mom. Mary will always be a part of our family now.
