I'm very passionate about senior care, kind, caring, calm and very patient and empathetic. I'm able to provide emotional support, help with meal preparation, medication reminders, companion care, shopping, transportation to doctors appointments light housekeeping and basically anything but lifting.. I am registered with the department of aging in Anne Arundel county and have been with them doing senior care for 13 years. I have cared for people with dementia and Alzheimer's, congestive heart failure, diabetics, Parkinson's, also people that have Down syndrome. My mother started showing signs of cognitive impairment and finally in May 2025, I knew she needed more engagement with other people. I found Mary and when we met, I was impressed with how she took notes of what my mother liked to do and she knew how to talk with her to get her to open up a bit. I ended up having to move my mom into assisted living sooner than I thought but I appreciated being able to rely on Mary to take my mom to her weekly appointments and engaging her by having lunch together, doing some activities together and running some errands I just didn't have the time with a busy work schedule to do. I would recommend Mary to help with anyone who has a loved one that is facing memory loss or cognitive impairment.
