I was a pet sitter for my neighbor Shirley and when her health started to decline, she asked if I was available to take her to appointments and shopping. Those outings lead to helping her around the house and then months later hospice care in her home. I loved spending time with her, conversing and watching shows. I learned, how to move her, bathe her and overall help her lead the independent life she still wanted. Seniors are a treasure and I'm blessed to still have my 95-year-old mother in my life. I hope I can bring companionship, dignity and a little laughter to a senior in need.
