About Maura

I'd describe my personality as joyful, assertive and light-hearted. I like caring for seniors because I have a great deal of respect for their history. They've earned the highest level of care and reverence. I'm looking for a job that has a strong element of service. I'm in a new stage of life as a recent empty-nester, I am eager to spend some of my time in caring for others. I started caring for seniors when I was in my 30s. As the only girl in our family and a stay-at-home mom, I was the logical choice to care for our parents as they aged. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family and friends, read, take online classes and walk. One thing you should know about me is that I will treat your loved one as if he or she were my own. My skills include advocating for those who cannot do so for themselves, interacting with people suffering from dementia and the like, and managing challenging situations and relationships with levity, compassion and competence.
