About Maureen

My mother started a home daycare when I was a toddler. As I got older, I helped her out. When I was 12 years old, I began babysitting on my own when parents went out. During high school, barely a weekend went by without a babysitting job. I have, since, raised 3 children of my own. We used gentle, attachment parenting techniques with our children - respected their feelings, tried to teach by guiding them through natural consequences, spent a lot of time connecting, playing, talking things out. I loved spending that one on one time with them, watching them grow and learn. I was involved in my children's larger community, regular PTO mom, scout leader. I miss seeing the world through the eyes of childhood. I hope to be able to do that again while spending time caring for children again now.
