Hi! My name is Maya. I live in Mission Beach and am a junior at the University of San Diego. I am looking for more recurring and one time opportunities! 

I've been working as a nanny for 5 years and absolutely love it! I have experience caring for all ages as well as caring for up to 4 children. My duties as a nanny have been engaging in fun and educational activities, school/camp pick up and drop offs, housekeeping, grocery shopping/meal prep, morning and bedtime routines, travel etc.

Maya is an incredible nanny—patient, kind, responsible, and professional. She cared for our kids last summer and winter break, and they instantly gravitated to her. They loved playing, swimming, and engaging in fun activities with her. Maya was always flexible, communicative, and happy to accommodate our needs. Maya was so friendly, helpful, and attentive to my son. This was our first time hiring a babysitter that was not a family member and it worked out so great! My son loved hanging out with and playing with Maya and he has already asked us when he will get to play with her again :)

Maya is an excellent nanny! We were lucky to find her and hired her for a short period before she had to leave town for school again. My 2 1/2 year old boy liked her from day one and always wanted to stop her from leaving. Maya made sure to not just watch my son play but to engage with him, challenge him and keep his brain stimulated. My son still asks when Maya is coming back. We hope to hire her again when she’s in town. Maya was also very quick to respond to messages and always on time.  

Maya spent the summer helping us care for our 9 month old daughter. She was always on time, attentive, engaged, loving and playful.  Our daughter was dealing with separation anxiety and Maya was able to help her get over that and be comfortable with a sitter.  Maya even took our daughter to the beach for a play date.  She is an amazing nanny and great person to have around kids.  We hope to use her when she is back next summer and we were lucky to have her!

Maya was our 12 year daughter's babysitter and companion this entire summer - and she was absolutely fantastic.   Our daughter LOVED her, she was responsible, on time, positive and always had ideas for what they could do together.  We would not have made it thru the Summer without here!   Very grateful for Maya and whenever she's free and available we will absolutely have her help us out again.  

Maya is very good at interacting with my son (15 months) and is very engaged. She is great at communicating with questions, scheduling , and updates on his mood and activities. It is a pleasure to have her around the house playing and helping with mealtime and toy cleanup as I am working.

Maya is spectacular! We have four kids, ranging from ten-months to eight-years-old, and while we were visiting California from out of state, Maya cared for our children as my husband and I attended a nearby family wedding. Maya is so sweet and pleasant and always eager to help, and most importantly, our kids absolutely loved her. We are so grateful to her for the exceptional care she provided our family.

Maya was so fantastic with our 1 and 3 year old boys! She picked them up from daycare, walked them home, played, and got them dinner and they were happy with he whole time (extra hard in that evening transition time)! Maya was very flexible as our schedule changed a few times due to sickness. She was easy to communicate with and always checked in. I never worried that she would cancel or forget. Our 3 year old looked forward to seeing her every week and talked about her lots! We’re sad she won’t be around over the summer but will definitely hire her again when she’s back in town!

I met Maya through Care.com and as a first time mom I was very nervous about hiring a babysitter. Maya met me at a coffee shop to meet H and my family where I got to learn about her a bit which comforted me. She also came to my house to babysit with me there before I even left H with her. I instantly felt comfortable with Maya. I actually left that day and wasn't expecting to. Maya would send texts and pictures of my little one which helped calm my mom nerves. Maya was always punctual, friendly and my little LOVED playing with her. She was always engaged with my little. She changed diapers, fed her, and played with her. I highly recommend Maya if you're looking for a sweet, responsible sitter!

Maya is the sweetest! Professional, polite, punctual. Awesome communication. Responded right away and was always positive and willing to help. When she noticed that I needed help with some extra days that she couldn't take on because she was already booked by another family, she went above and beyond and helped me find another sitter for those days.  My daughter enjoyed the time they spent together. She is highly recommended.

We hired Maya to help with our two children, and our only disappointment is that she's not going to be available long term as she's going back to school.  Maya was punctual, flexible, and great with our demanding toddlers.  Along with the normal help required for toddlers (e.g., feeding, light cleaning, reading books & playing with toys, taking the kids out for a walk, etc.), we were impressed by how gentle and patient she was with them.  Hopefully, we'll get another opportunity to work with her in the future.
