About Maya

Hello! My name is Maya, I'm new to the area. Since then I've spent my time farming, nannying, and caregiving. I have worked with kids on and off since I was 10 and am now 24. Being able to work with people is a gift. Working with people any age is always a chance to learn and grow alongside other people. Moving forward I'm looking to specialize in working with autistic/special needs folks. I have had the privilege of working with autistic children and young adults and find it incredibly gratifying. I believe I am a very good candidate for anyone looking for a 1:1 buddy for their autistic child. I graduated with a BA in Social Work with a double minor in Art and Art Therapy. I'm hoping to get my masters and focus in clinical social work becoming a therapist and working with children who have faced trauma and/or have behavioral or intellectual learning disabilities.
