About Maya

I have excellent reading and writings skills and during my time at Barnard College I helped my peers and classmates with outlining, revising, and editing writing assignments and papers and honing my analytical and critical thinking skills. I have a strong interest in cultivating literacy and strengthening fluency in writing for school assignments, as well as helping students prepare in a rigorous and methodical way for SAT and ACT. I have experience in tutoring elementary and middle-school age children in all subjects, and in high-school and beyond my strengths in reading and writing skills; as well as honing critical thinking and processing skills. I excel in helping students edit writing assignments and refine their writing techniques, while deepening reading comprehension in all subjects. I am available for SAT and ACT tutoring as well.
