About Maya

Hi there, my name is Maya and I live in Oakland. I've been caring for children of all ages since I was 13 years old, including working in a nursery for 3 years. I love spending time with kids- playing outside, doing arts and crafts, reading together, and helping with homework (especially math and science!). I have a car for pick-ups and drop-offs, can help with meal prep, and am happy to assist with housework. I spent the last five years as a research associate in biotech, and I'm now studying to become a certified nurse midwife. This fall I only have 9 hours of in person class (the rest is online and asynchronous) so I have a very open schedule. I am genuinely so excited to get back into childcare!
