About Mckayla

Hello, my name is McKayla. I am an experienced childcare professional with five years of experience working in the public school system, including five years in special education, as well as three years of hands-on experience as a nanny. I hold a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, which has given me a strong understanding of child development, communication skills, and individualized learning strategies. I am CPR certified and trained to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. I would also have my 10-month-old daughter and 3-year-old nephew with me, which allows for built-in social interaction and a nurturing, family-style environment. My combined experience in both school-based settings and private childcare has equipped me with the patience, structure, and creativity needed to support children of all abilities while creating a safe, engaging, and supportive space for them to learn and grow.
