About Meagan

My name is Meagan and I am a teaching assistant in a 5th grade class as well as a certified teacher. I attended SUNY Cortland and graduated with a bachelors degree in Childhood Education. I am currently pursuing my masters degree in Literacy Education at Queens College. In college, I was a certified tutor for English. History and Italian. I had to take a semester long course to become certified which included practicum hours, observations and written assignments. I worked with many different college aged students but my real passion is teaching elementary school age children. I have worked in the Locust Valley School District for 2 years and it has been the most rewarding and beneficial experience. I am fully confident in my ability to tutor any subject at these levels for many different levels of academics. I have worked with gifted and struggling students throughout my time as a TA and I look forward to expanding my knowledge.
