I took care of my Mamaw for 5 years, she had Alzheimer's. I assisted her in bathing, dressing, some cooking, and going places. I also took care of my Papaw with dementia at the same time, until the two had to be separated and my Papaw went to the nursing home to live. He was bed ridden, completely dependent on me or Mamaw. I worked for a lady with Alzheimer's in 2016 for three months, assisting her in bathing, dressing, fixing food for her(just left overs, or microwave meals) laundry, and other light housekeeping. My Mamaw passed away in December of 2017. Looking to get back into the caregiver world, because I truly believe that is my calling in life. I love helping people!
