About Megan

Working with children has been my heart's desire for as long as I can remember. I babysat throughout high school, college, while I taught lower elementary for 8 years and as a stay at home mom. I was a part-time preschool substitute and worker during college. I tutored students in phonics, reading, and mathematics. When I became pregnant with our first child my husband and I decided that I would stop teaching in the classroom to stay home and care for our children. I continued to babysit. It has an absolute joy being a mom. I am currently homeschooling my son in second grade, doing preschool with my daughter, and watching our 1-year-old crawl, giggle, and babble. I have a strong passion for children to gain a firm foundation in their education, so I would also love to help your child begin or strengthen their alphabet knowledge, predicting, recall/retell, shapes, measurement, and number sense.
