About Megan

2025 New York Academy of Sciences Mentor of the Year Hello! I just received my PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center and am an active scientist who studies monkeys, parasites, and genetics! I have over 7 years of teaching experience, having served as an adjunct professor/lecturer at colleges and universities in both the US and Canada. I have a strong background in biology and writing, and can help with test prep and other types of assignments as well. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked in education at the American Museum of Natural History, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and other informal science institutions. I value my students' learning above all and strive to create a fun, clear, and constructive environment in my lessons. In the fall I will begin teaching at SUNY Farmingdale, but have pretty open availability during the summer. Willing to travel for in-person opportunities as well!
