About Melanie

I've been in caregiving ever since I graduated high school and even before then- taking care of my grandmother. I did caregiving in an assisted living home where I prepared and passed medication, assisted resident's with their ADLs, and there I really found my love for patient care. From there, I graduated to getting my official CNA license and went on to work in the hospital in many different settings. There I worked in many different care units including: memory care, pediatrics, ER, bariatrics, psych, cardiology, critical care unit, neurology, surgical, etc. Now, I am working as a hospice aide where I travel all over the Portland area :) I have a special fondness for in home patient care and it is where I thrive best! I love the interpersonal relationships that form with patients as well as their families.
