About Melia

I love helping students discover what they're capable of and feel confident in their learning. With a background in early childhood education, I've seen just how important it is for students to trust their own abilities and approach problems in their own way. My time at a liberal arts college shaped the way I think about learning--I value curiosity, critical thinking, and finding creative approaches that make each student's experience unique. When I work with students, I adapt to their needs, using a variety of methods to help them stay engaged. For me, helping students feel capable, motivated, and excited to learn is essential for building lifelong confidence in their ability as learners. This is skill they can take outside of our sessions and into the classroom and beyond.
