About Melinda

Hi! I'm a mother of 4 whose "baby" just graduated from high school. I have no grandkids yet, so I'm looking to fill my time caring for babies. We fostered kids for 20 years, 2 of whom we adopted. I miss having little ones around and would love to help with your kids until I am lucky enough to have grandkids of my own! My BA is in psychology and my husband is a therapist so I'm trauma informed. I was also a children's pastor for 10 years, and a foster care trainer and licensing worker for 5 years. I'm trained in NMC (neurosequential model of caregiving) and very familiar with TBRI (trust based relational intervention). I just love holding babies and singing to them or playing games and reading books to toddlers. I do have allergies, unfortunately, and so can't work in homes with cats or smokers.
