I cared for my mother for years in her home before she moved in with me. She lived with me for 3 years and in that time, I helped dress her, bathe her, managed all her meds including meds for her diabetes as her dementia was taking over more and causing problems for her with sugar lows. We exercised and talked and went outside and watched movies. I cleaned up after her, and prepared her meals. I have little kids so ultimately my sister had to take over and it was so hard to let go of her care. Now I only help where I can as she is out of town. I know how hard it is when the roles are reversed and to find help that cares for your parent the way you would. I would love to help where I can and help you both through this challenging time. God gave us each other to take care of each other and I am here to do that.
