About Melissa

Learning is a journey, and I'm passionate about guiding students toward their academic goals. With being a 4th year bilingual teacher, I strive to create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment where students feel empowered to succeed in all subjects. I believe every student has unique potential, and I adapt my teaching methods by listening and observing, varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems, and encouraging open communication. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrate small successes, and break down complex problems. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and building trust. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence grow.
