About Melissa

The majority of my childcare experience has been working with children ages 2 months through 4 years of age, though I do have some experience with older children as well. My first major childcare role was as an assistant in a licensed in-home childcare center. In this position I was jointly responsible for all aspects of childcare for 6-10 children ages 2 months to 4 years. I taught basic preschool activities to the 3 and 4-year-olds and realized the true value of learning through play for all ages! I have also been employed as a private nanny for a family with an infant and a 3-year-old. I have been a babysitter for a number of families in the Denver area, most of whom I found by referral. In addition to experience with children, I also bring to the table knowledge and education about child development. I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and as part of my degree I took courses in both normal and abnormal child development, neuropsychology, nutrition, and more.
