My experience comes from working with someone for the last 9 years. My duties included driving to and from doctors appointments, home keep up (home cleaning, cooking, laundry and grocery shopping), medication pick up as well as all personal care. This includes bathing, dressing, as well daily medication. I believe the world is a better place when we all help each other. I have learnt so many things from working with someone who is now 96. One of the most important is companionship even after two heart attacks the commitment and relationship we have created through the years has kept us both going strong. It goes a long way when someone knows they have someone they can rely on. And for the family it's important to know their loved one is always taken care of.
