About Mercedes

I've grown up always having pets, and have cared for many of my neighbors' animals. This includes both walks and house-sitting while pet-parents were on vacation. I was in FFA during high school, but have since moved to the Pomona area for school. I am attending my fifth year at Cal Poly Pomona for a B. S. in Animal Health Science. This program fulfills CVMA and AVMA requirements for RVTg (Registered Veterinary Technology) certification, alongside an exam post-graduation. Some of my completed coursework includes handling & restraint, nutrition, pathology, anatomy, and animal behavior. The following species I have owned and been formally taught how to handle: Dogs Cats Ferrets Rabbits Hamsters Swine Ducks Chickens The following species I have NOT owned, but have hands-on handling experience: Rats Mice Horses Ponies Sheep Goats Cattle Turtles Snakes I have several references available upon request. :)
