Hi! I'm Mia ! I hold a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Art History from UT Austin, plus post-bacc work in Psychology with a focus on child development from UC Berkeley. My background in the arts and child development deeply informs my caregiving-encouraging creativity, confidence, and emotional growth. I've worked as a nanny for over four years (ages 4 months-6 years), taught in a Montessori classroom (15 months-3 years), and led art lessons for kids ages 9-13. I'm experienced with sleep and potty training, and gently supporting milestones at each child's pace. Mia is amazing! She nannied for us for 2.5 years and really became part of the family. Mia sees both of my girls as individuals and creates wonderful, engaging activities for them. Mia and and my oldest would craft wonderful adventure stories with art to go along with them, and she made up fun dances to songs for my youngest. She adapted the activities as the girls grew and would read books and look up activities for them, but was also incredibly gifted at putting her own spin on them. She really helped my oldest's imagination grow and feel like she could create anything, which is instilled in her still. She is also incredibly helpful seeing things that need to be taken care of such as laundry and helping with it but still keeping her focus on the kids. Mia is my kids favorite person.
