About Micah

I have been an EMT for 8 years and worked as an emergency department technician for 3 years when I'm not working wildland fire. I enjoy working with older folks as I find their life's experiences to be very interesting. I'm happy to help with whatever tasks or projects require assistance. I'd describe my personality as humorous, curious and loyal. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy the conversations with folks for whom my "history" was their reality. I'd like to build a good relationship with whoever I work with, and be as helpful to them as possible. I've cared for seniors since my grandfather first became immobile, and through my time in hospitals and on ambulances. Since my father's stroke 5 years ago I've also learned quite a bit about managing post stroke care. I like to surf, snowboard, read history books, watch hockey, travel and spend time with my family and friends. If there is anything in particular you'd like to hear about, I'll happily answer.
