A bit about myself.. I describe myself as a professional granddaughter. I've worked in most forms of senior care for the past 13 years, I started off in private home care, followed by independent living and then as CNA in assisted living facilities with dementia care units. I am passionate about my work, my motto is You have care ABOUT your resident to in order to properly care FOR you resident. I am a compassionate, detail oriented, solution solving type person. I strive to allow my residents to be as independent as possible while keeping their safety is my top priority. After working through the pandemic I decided to return to private care. I've worked with my most recent client for the past three years. Her circumstances have changed this year, and will be moving in with family across the country. Unfortunately we will soon be parting ways.
Michelle has been caring for our parents for over 3 years. In our initial review we fell a little short. She initially presented herself to be confident, professional and caring as you would expect. In reality she has proven to be much more. Not only does she have impeccable timeliness, she does thorough cleaning, has excellent organizational skills with appointments and has knowledge in medications. She has even been present with doctors to make sure our parents understand what needs to be done later on. She takes notes and has a plan set for each visit. She has been coming 3 days a week and our parents have been so looked after all this time. We have felt very safe with Michelle. She really does fell like a part of the family and we will miss her! Last year we lost our father and Michelle joined us in his memorial and help my mother get through a very tough year. Just being there when we could not, sitting and listening, even calling mom after hours or on days off to check in… who does that! Awesome. Our mother is now moving in with family and she will no doubt stay in touch with Michelle. They certainly have made a lasting connection and we thank you, Michelle for your dedication.
