You will receive caregiving from a nurse with over 30 years experience as an RN. My focus is helping people meet their healthcare goals by learning their needs and assisting collaboration with the healthcare team that is in place. I am able to notice new needs quickly and get people to their healthcare providers in a timely fashion. I have extensive background working with people diagnosed with dementia, COPD, heart issues, and I have a passion for hospice care. I also enjoy helping people care for their homes and yards like they would prefer. I have been referred to as the Mary Poppins of caregiving. Please message me to learn more :) Resume and references available upon request.
I left a review for Michelle in December of 2024. This is an update to that review. Michelle has been my dad's caregiver since November, 2024. Early on, I recognized her caretaking calling, her training and her gifts of connection and patience. Over the past 8 months, I've trusted Michelle with more and more care of my dad. As his needs increased, Michelle has stepped in. Michelle has been a wonderful partner to my sister and I. She is highly communicative, letting us know what's happening through detailed notes or texts. She has taken on meal prep allowing us to focus more on preparing dad for his move to memory care. She has taken him to the lab and haircut, again taking some load from us. Over the winter months, she took him shopping and to the mall to walk to keep him engaged and actives. She has engaged him in coloring, matching games, puzzles, often teaching or partnering with him when he can't do it fully himself. Most importantly, as an experienced nurse and caregiver, she shares what she notices about the progression of dad's disease - she sees so much day to day and is able to translate that to what he may need going forward. She's also been there for him when he's passed out and called me and 911 as needed. I really don't know what we would have done without Michelle these past 8 months. To Michelle, my sincerest Thank You. Lisa
