I was the sole caregiver for my wife who was in the late stage of dementia when I realized the need for respite care. I join care.com and started searching. Arrangements were made for her to start and from the very first visit, I knew I made an excellent choice, Michelle is very knowledgeable about dementia care and her skills and techniques she used were very impressive. For example Hair brushing, use of hand lotion, reading, playing music and repositioning are a few. It was obvious to me that she is a caring and compassionate person. I was surprised when she would forward me helpful information pertaining to my situation. This is a clear example of her caring and willingness to go beyond what I had expected.
