About Mikayla

Hi! My name is Mikayla, and caring for children has been a big part of my life for many years! I've worked in both childcare and school settings, including Ready Set Play Indoor Playground and, for the past four years, as a Special Education Paraprofessional at an elementary school in WCPS. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have completed multiple childcare and safety training courses. I am currently in college and will earn my associate's degree in education in May 2026, continuing toward my master's, and then becoming a classroom teacher! For the past three summers, I've worked with summer camps, planning activities and keeping children engaged. This year I hope to work more closely with an individual family. I'm seeking after-school, holiday, and summer care, offering homework help, meals, light housekeeping, behavior support, ASL basics, fun activities, and pre-approved field trips to the pool, movies, park, and more. Transportation and late-night Saturday care available.
