Experience: 7 yrs
I am a responsible, caring, patient and reliable person. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and CPR/ AED/ First Aid Certified. I do offer 7 plus years of experience taking care of seniors/elderly and disabled patients in the comfort of their home and or at hospital if admission was ever needed at some point. I have experience assisting with in home physical therapy and range of motion exercises, external catheters, dressing wounds, taking vitals, personal grooming and hygiene, bathing and dressing, transferring, feeding, and maintaining activity as health permits not only for the physical aspect but also for the mind. I have provided care in different scenarios and stages including hospice care. I also have experience with simple meal preparation, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry. I consider myself a great listener, friend and companion. I would like the opportunity to meet your loved one and provide the care he or she needs and deserves.
Milagros (Mily) was my father’s devoted caregiver for over five years. When my father suffered a fall at the age of 95, resulting in a head injury, we found ourselves in urgent need of someone who could support his daily needs with skill and compassion. From the moment she joined us, Mily became more than a caregiver—she became a guardian angel for our family, walking with us every step of the way until my father’s passing, just two weeks shy of his 100th birthday in January 2025. Mily attended to every aspect of his personal and medical care with kindless and dedication. Her responsibilities ranged from managing medications, hygiene, and gentle exercise to assisting with his walker, dressing, bathing (both shower and bed baths), doctor visits, diabetes management, and even laundry. As his condition progressed, she was a constant, comforting presence—ultimately staying overnight in his final months to ensure he was never alone. Mily was more than just a caregiver—she was a trusted companion and source of strength for both of my parents. Her intelligence, compassion, and intuition allowed her to not only care for my father physically, but also to keep him mentally engaged through daily conversations, light exercises, and crossword puzzles, always balancing stimulation with a deep respect for his need to rest. Living in another state as his medical power of attorney, I relied heavily on Mily’s detailed and consistent communication about his condition—updates delivered with both professionalism and genuine care. Even after my father’s passing, Mily has continued to support my mother, helping with outings, medications, household tasks, and even navigating phone and computer-related work. Her generosity and competence have remained unwavering. Milly is an extraordinary individual. Her enthusiasm, integrity, and willingness to go above and beyond are immediately evident to anyone who meets her. She is truly one in a million, and we are forever grateful for the role she has played in our lives. I consider it a privilege to know her, and I hope our relationship continues as she brings her remarkable gifts to others lucky enough to receive her care.
