About Mingxin

I graduated Duke University with a B. A. and a B. F. A in media and arts. I have been painting, sketching, drawing ever since kindergarten, and half of my college classes were in art history. I would be a great companion for both artistic practices and learning about art from textbooks. My first language is Mandarin Chinese, so I would be a great tutor for your child if you would like them to be in a bilingual environment or have a cultured experience. I have taught languages (English to Chinese children or Chinese to English speakers) since sophomore year of college to children from 4 to 12. I excelled in math classes in high school, and being the top student in my classes, I always tutored younger students or even my peers. They described me as patient and articulate, usually with creative approaches to help them understand abstract mathematical concepts.
