About Miqueyla

Hi! I'm Miqueyla, a third-year doctoral student in Occupational Therapy who truly enjoys working with children. Through my program, I've completed over 120 hours of pediatric fieldwork providing occupational therapy services to children from infancy through early childhood. I've also been caregiving since 2017 and have had the opportunity to support several wonderful families, including caring for a child with autism, a child with cerebral palsy, and a teen with epilepsy and a rare medical condition. These experiences have given me a unique skill set to support children as they grow developmentally while providing patient, individualized care. I love building meaningful relationships with the kids I work with and creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and have fun.
